Job description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Ocean Import/Export Coordinator is primarily responsible for operationally filing entry
documents, tracking, and updating the movement of ocean freight, and ensuring compliance
with import and export clearance regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of shipments daily.
  • Work collaboratively with the Traffic Department and Accounting to provide top-notch, timely, and efficient service to customers.
  • Monitoring of reports.
  • Accurate and timely billing to customers.
  • Providing customer service via email and telephone correspondence to address customer questions and concerns.
  • Ensure customer needs are consistently met and assist to resolve inquiries
  • Expedite clearance and delivery to exceed customer requirements
  • Work well in a team environment and assist other peers when needed
  • Maintaining good relationships with various vendors such as carrier, truckers, terminals, etc.
  • Process and manage import and/or export shipments
  • Prepare price quotes on international freight
  • Prepare necessary documents for shipments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers as well as vendors specifically steamship lines and customs
  • Research and resolve operational problems
  • Ensure customer needs are consistently met and assist to resolve inquiries
  • Expedite clearance and delivery to exceed customer requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English & Korean)
  • Excellent listening and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize, and manage time effectively
  • Previous experiences in logistics, cargo management, supply chain, customer service, dispatcher, warehouse, logistics specialist, administrative assistant, data entry, transportation, and logistics analyst is preferred
