Occupational Therapy Program Faculty

Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation’s independent associate degree
colleges, has an immediate opening for a brilliant, passionate, and dynamic Faculty in the
Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
Position Responsibilities and Primary Functions:
The Faculty will represent the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program within the college
and within the community. Specifically, the Faculty will be responsible for:
 Teaching, advising and curriculum development equivalent to 30 credits per year.
 Following college policies and procedures (e.g. utilization of current syllabus
template, submitting attendance, warnings, mid-term grades, final grades and
assessment data) in a timely manner.
 Attending all faculty meetings (e.g. Program meetings, Faculty Senate,
Faculty Committees, and Faculty Development activities).
 Being available for such duties and/or meetings that are designated by the
President, and/or the Executive Vice President. It is also understood that the
week prior to the beginning of each semester will be reserved for required
general meetings, workshops, and faculty preparation activities. Please refer to
the Faculty Handbook for other terms of employment.
 Admissions related activities, including but not limited to, Open Houses,
Orientations and other recruitment activities.
 Academically advising students within the program to insure that students are
succeeding in their coursework and registered for the courses necessary to graduate
in a timely manner.
 Preempting non-traditional fieldwork sites.
Position Qualifications:
 Occupational Therapist with Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree required licensed in PA
 Teaching experience in higher education preferred
 Ability to work collaboratively with all college faculty and administration
 Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and to provide
leadership and direction in bringing diverse constituents together
 Driver’s license and car in good working order
