Baylor Medical Center in Irving is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our acute care team. The COTA will be in an acute care hospital but will be floating to inpatient rehab to cover when needed.
*Potential candidate will have an alternative schedule*
Select Medical complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation depends upon candidate's years of experience and internal equity.
BSW Rehab is looking for a COTA to fill the full time position in acute care.
Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT, this position exists to assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. Consistently communicates with supervising OT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction. Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required for full time staff or as required by state regulations.
- Home Care Requirements: One or more years of clinical experience and valid state Driver’s License.
