Action Staffing Solutionsis seeking experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapists to support a variety of facility types including outpatient clinics, hospitals, medical centers and more!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following. Additional duties may be assigned as needed and may vary depending on specialty.
- Delivering safe and compassionate care to patients.
- Development of treatment plans and evaluation and modification of treatment plans as necessary.
- Establish short- and long-term goals and plans based on evaluation findings, and patient goals.
- Patient treatment meeting rehabilitation objectives in individual and group settings.
- Consistent, accurate and timely documentation of patient medical history, current health, and rehabilitation processes.
- Evaluating and documenting patient response to interventions and progress towards attainment of goals and expected outcomes.
- Evaluation of living environments to assist in independent living.
- Procurement, fabrication or modification of splints and other adaptive equipment.
- Completion of required training as assigned.
- Report all incidents, accidents, or potential hazards in accordance with established policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
License, Certification, Education:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Unencumbered Occupational Therapist license valid for the worksite state.
- Current and valid NBCOT OT certification.
Experience: Two or more years independent experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Requirements:
- Must complete the onboarding and hiring process including background investigation(s) and drug screening; Backgrounds must be clear of any felony convictions.
- Health Records – Hep B, TB test/chest x-ray, COVID-19 and influenza for the current season. A pre-assignment physical examination may be required.
- Language: Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language required
- Must have excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to assess situations to make independent, policy compliant decisions.
Physical Requirements:
Due to the nature of facilities physical demands may vary between facilities and day to day, this is not an all-inclusive list.
- Must be able to see, hear and communicate.
- Must be able to use proper body positioning and body mechanics including to -
- Regularly stand, sit, walk, run, climb, kneel, crouch, bend, twist.
- Dexterity and fine motor function including strength, control, lifting, reaching and tool usage.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds infrequently, and lift or assist in lifting more than 50 pounds at times.
