Freedom Therapy is now hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in the Bedford, Beachwood, Rocky River, and Parma, OH!

The right candidate will have:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and visit in patients' homes in varying weather and road conditions required
- Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization required
- One year experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting preferred
- Community/home health experience preferred
- Must possess current license as an Occupational Therapist from the State of Ohio
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must have the use of an automobile in good working condition and automobile insurance
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Capability of all physical demands that may arise during treatment sessions, including lifting, bending, and turning
Our Occupational Therapist will:
- Review patients' medical histories
- Diagnose patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Outline clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
- Use exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
- Record patients' progress and modifying the plan of care if needed
- Educate patients and family members about the recovery process
- Provide Occupational therapy services to patients according to a Plan of Care.
- Initiate Occupational therapy program and instruct other personnel, patient and/or family/ caregivers in therapy program, as well as the goals of therapy.
- Participate in patient case conferences.
- Supervise the Occupational Therapy Assistant on-site every 30 days or more frequently as needed to guarantee that the Plan of Care is implemented, followed and that patient/ family are satisfied with the care and services being provided.
- Confer with the attending physician, home care team members and patient and/or family/caregivers to promote coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Prepare and submit clinical and progress notes in a timely manner and in accordance with Freedom Therapy, state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Instruct patient and/or family/caregiver and other team members in the patient's treatment regimen as indicated.
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare regulations and established Freedom Therapy policies and procedures.
