Occupational Therapist for 2024/2025 School Year

Caseload: K-12, Approximately 120 students
Spindle Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year in Kelso, OR. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, primarily involving consultation with staff, students, and parents, assessments and report writing, attending meetings, and overseeing part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support students' functional abilities in the school environment
- Provide direct therapy services as needed
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other relevant meetings
- Oversee the work of part-time COTAs, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
- Previous experience working with a school-aged population preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to meeting the individual needs of each student
Pay: Hourly pay: $60 per hour
