Occupational Therapist (OT)
HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is a tertiary acute care 342 bed hospital that has been serving the community for more than 75 years. It provides a 24-hour designated Level II trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, cardiac care services, women’s center, daVinci robotic surgery, neurosciences, pediatric care, rehabilitation therapy, sleep center, radiology, hyperbaric medicine, diagnostic/imaging services, and wound care facility.
HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role:
• Delivers medically prescribed Occupational Therapy in support of medical care as directed by the primary physician.
• Utilizes the evaluation of the patient’s rehabilitative needs to plan the care, implement and document effective, appropriate and safe Occupational Therapy treatments.
• Acts as a member of the interdisciplinary team in helping the patients and their families achieve the highest level of functioning.
•Supervises and instructs Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Techs/Restorative Techs in regard to Occupational Therapy Services.
• Participates in planning and implementing new services, staff development programs, and marketing efforts.
Education:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
What qualifications you will need:
• Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification is required.
