Job Description
Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a reputable school district in Madison, Wisconsin, for a full-time position. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within an educational setting, providing essential occupational therapy services to students. The selected Occupational Therapist will play a pivotal role in supporting the students' overall development and success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into students' educational plans.
- Design and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to enhance students' functional abilities and independence within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required documentation as per district and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to support the development of students' goals and acmodations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Wisconsin state licensure or eligibility to obtain Wisconsin OT licensure.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong munication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for working with children and a mitment to fostering their academic and functional success.
