Occupational Therapist - Ortho/Oncology

Overview

Saco Bay PT is seeking an outpatient Occupational Therapist (Ortho/Oncology) in Falmouth, ME.

 

Our Falmouth outpatient center continues to expand and is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide patient care on a full time basis. Our team consists of 2 PTs, 1.5 OT,s and a pelvic floor PT that treat a diverse patient case load. We are looking to expand cancer rehabilitation services as part of our ReVital program. New grads welcome to apply!

 

Interest in outpatient orthopedics and cancer rehabilitation required, experience preferred. Caseload will be primarily ortho with some oncology, with the opportunity to grow oncology caseload. The ideal candidate would be interested in becoming lymphedema certified and growing the center's oncology program.

Compensation: Salary up to $100k/year based on experience

Up to $20k sign on bonus available!

Responsibilities

• Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how Occupational Therapists may practice and whom Occupational Therapists may supervise.
• Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
• Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom occupational therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
• Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational Therapy
• Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cancer rehabilitation interest/experience (student rotations considered)
• Lympedema experience/certification (student rotations considered)
• Outpatient experience
