JOB SUMMARY:
An Occupational Therapist (OT) is a qualified professional who provides functional assessment of learning and performance skills and the analysis, selection, and adaptation of exercises or equipment for a person whose abilities to perform the requirements of daily living are threatened or impaired by physical injury or disease, mental illness, a developmental deficit, the aging process, or a learning disability. The OT directs, supervises, evaluates and provides Occupational Therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician. The OT supervises the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in clinical treatment.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure: Current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist issued by the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana.
Registration/Certification: BLS CPR completion within 30 days of hire and remain current throughout employment.
Education: Requires completion of a bachelor's degree program of study in Occupational Therapist from an accredited school or equivalent

- Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of the role of and relationship with other team members.
- Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish and maintain positive therapeutic/working relationships with all internal and external customers, as needed.
- Flexibility is required. Weekends and Holidays required for benefited associates.
