Location: Columbia, Missouri
Shift: Covering shifts when OT is absent. Monday-Friday, primarily 8am-4:30pm, but there is flexibilty.

Salary Range: $52.01 per hour PRN.

Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting patient evaluations and delivering targeted treatment interventions with the goal of enhancing safety and promoting independence in the performance of daily activities.
Essential Functions:
Continuously engage in training, education, and professional development activities, and supervise Occupational Therapy students or Certified Occupational Therapy Students to enhance personal knowledge and performance. This includes obtaining the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain state licensure in Missouri.
Administer advanced-level treatment interventions as a licensed clinician.
Thoroughly and accurately complete documentation in accordance with UMHC and departmental guidelines and policies.
Skillfully provide various modalities, such as splint fabrication, casting, and measurement/fitting of compression garments, based on physician orders.
Adhere to the code of ethics of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the State of Missouri Practice Act, ensuring eligibility for licensure is maintained.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations in a timely manner, gathering relevant data and utilizing a developmentally appropriate approach to establish individualized occupational therapy plans of care directed towards specific goals.
Fulfill unit/department-specific responsibilities and expectations as outlined in departmental documents.
Required Qualifications:
Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy. OT Limited permit holders must be a graduate of an OT program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
