- Minimum of a Master’s degree
- Must be licensed in the state of California as an Occupational Therapist

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working directly with autistic individuals
Salary Range $80,000-$95,000
- Completes evaluations using formal assessment, clinical observation, medical/developmental history, and caregiver interview
- Administers and interprets standardized assessments
- Creates individualized treatment plans
- Prepares reports including but not limited to initial and re-evaluation reports, progress reports, and multidisciplinary evaluations
- Conducts individual and therapy sessions in the clinic setting
- Collaborates with other child development professionals (i.e., case supervisors, behavior analysts, Occupational Therapists, etc.) as needed or as required by the funding source
- Provides consultations with families at the commencement of services and on an ongoing monthly basis as needed or as required by the funding source
- Provides occupational therapy-related caregiver training and counseling
- Creates individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other Specialists (i.e., SLP, BCBA, etc.) for Regional Center consumers
- Collects data each session to measure goal progress
- Prepares proper documentation of session notes for direct speech or consultation services
- Provides supervision to COTAs as assigned and in accordance with board guidelines
- Ensures compliance with all Occupational Therapy related services and documentation per funding source guidelines
- Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
- Understands, respects, and displays sensitivity to culture, age, and persons with disabilities
- Independently recognizes and performs duties that need to be done without being directly assigned
- Maintains and abides by all BHW policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
- Uses effective collaborative strategies as evidenced by recognizing and understanding that as a member of an interdependent group, collaboration and compromise are required in order to maintain the effectiveness of the group as a whole to effectively resolve problems

- Demonstrates effective knowledge of typical development, atypical development, and developmental milestones
