Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Occupational Therapist - Hand Certified - Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone - Lake Success.
In this role, the successful candidate Provides appropriate therapy to help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and to achieve optimal level of self-care and productivity. Uses clinical expertise to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, and age appropriate care through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs an objective functional evaluation including appropriate tests and measures and establishes a plan of care with measurable goals.
• Implements appropriate interventions treatment as indicated by the patient's functional status, diagnosis, and age in conjunction with the plan of care.
• Maintains accurate, complete and timely documentation reflecting the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care, education and interventions.
• Interacts and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and health care goals. Provides on-site clinical supervision to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides.
• Evaluates patient progress toward functional goals, and will modify the the plan of care accordingly.
• Provides patient, family, and clinician education regarding the patient's functional status and plan of care.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy (Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) approved OT program). Minimum 3 year experience in Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) rehabilitation setting. Current and valid NYS Occupational Therapy license and registration or limited permit. Current CHT certification within 1 year of hire. Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association - Outpatient facility only. Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills. Basic computer skills..
Required Licenses: Hand Therapy Cert, Occup Thrpst License-NYS

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) approved OT program)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60,737.97 - $101,229.94 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
