Avera is currently seeking Occupational Therapist (OT) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Position Highlights:

• Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department.
• Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult.

Job Summary

• Responsible to provide occupational therapy services to patients/clients, including assessment, treatment program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
• Anatomy, physical science, stages of physical, cognitive, and psychological development, specialized techniques in evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Awareness of relative value and limitations of each piece of equipment. 
• Clear understanding of indications and contraindications of various treatment modalities.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate of AOTA accredited college.
• Continuing education credits.
• Clinical internships, one or more years of practice as an OTR is preferred, but not required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• CPR certification required.
• BLS Certification required.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, occasional weekend/holiday; 80 hours every 2 weeks.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
