The Acute Care Therapy Department at New Millennium Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously.
New Millennium Medical Center has a strong commitment to learning and education including opportunities to attend on-site and monthly educational programs. Professional growth is fostered and promoted through peer mentoring, a preceptor program, and continuing education opportunities. Advanced clinical skills are recognized by an innovative Therapy Career Ladder program. A very active PT/OT/SLP student program fosters strong affiliations with local therapy schools and offers therapists an opportunity to become clinical instructors and guest lecturers. Therapists present at local, national, and international conferences & symposiums. We also participate in outpatient clinics; community programs/support groups as well as in a variety of innovative research projects.
Join us at New Millennium Medical Center's ACUTE CARE INPATIENT THERAPY DEPARTMENT as we are seeking a Full Time OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST to join our Team! You will have the opportunity to evaluate patients with complex neurological, surgical, trauma/orthopedic, medical and cardiopulmonary diagnoses. We administer treatment and coordinate therapy services to patients within a Level I Trauma Center. Must be licensed in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist. Current American Heart Association Certificate in BLS required. Prefer experience working in the Acute Care Hospital setting with a variety of diagnoses.
