Job Details:
We are actively seeking a dynamic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about helping people overcome physical challenges and improve their quality of life. The successful candidate will work directly with patients, providing them with therapeutic treatments designed to enhance their abilities in daily life activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pediatrics, and disability management.
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients.
2. Develop a treatment plan that includes activities designed to help patients reach their goals.
3. Implement therapeutic exercise programs that focus on coordination, strength, flexibility, and physical endurance.
4. Monitor and document patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
5. Educate patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
6. Provide guidance and supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants and Occupational Therapy students.
7. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
2. Must be licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably within a medical setting.
4. Experience in patient care, rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pediatrics, and disability management.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach to care.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
8. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Proficiency in using computer software and healthcare databases.
10. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
