Our client is re-opening in the next week and they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team in their fully renovated, 104 bed skilled nursing facility!
The facility offers a supportive family environment with a compassionate rehab team which is led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation. Rehabilitation techs are utilized to assist therapists with resident transport and administrative functions. The rehab department utilizes Net Health-Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation to assist therapists with daily efficiency where quality care remains the primary focus of each therapist. The facility offers 6-day a week, in-house comprehensive rehabilitation program where the PTis an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Duties```
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients under physician orders
- Assist patients in performing activities of daily living including dressing, cooking, eating, and more
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on use of adaptive equipment like wheelchairs, splints, and feeding aids
- Maintain timely and accurate patient treatment records and documentation.
- Follow company policies and meet state and federal regulations for occupational therapy
```Experience```
-
State licensure in FL as an Occupational Therapist.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Prefer at least one year experience in LTC, but qualified new grads will be considered
Current BLS or CPR card
Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
Passionate about post-acute rehabilitation and the older adult population
Ability to relate and interact positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, family, professional and facility staff
Experience working with patients across the lifespan, particularly in geriatric and long term care settings.
- Proficiency in occupational health, and medical terminology.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on providing quality care.
- Must be able to lift 5-45 lbs
