Global leader in the steel industry is looking for an Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to provide an environment of Health and Safety to meet the business needs.
The ideal candidate lives in Alabama and has an Alabama RN license.
Relocation to the Mobile area is offered.
Responsibilities:
- Providing daily care to employees and contractors
- Managing and coordinating employees’ care with company physician and medical review officer
- Coordinating return to work exams and occupational visits with employees to return them to work in a timely and efficient manner
- Managing Worker’s compensation Claims and assist as needed with Employee Disability Claims, Employee Return to work, and Wellness Programs
- Managing and performing annual physicals, fit tests, breath alcohol screens, random and post incident drug screens
- Ensuring company policies, protocols, and procedures as well as regulatory requirements are implemented and adhered to
- Managing the audiometric testing program
- Collaborating closely with the safety team and emergency response team (paramedics)
Requirements:
- Currently Registered Nurse (RN) License valid in the state of Alabama
- Experience as an Occupational Health Nurse
- Strong computer skills including (but not limited to) Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn additional software as applicable
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Experience working with medical review officers
- Experience with Workers’ compensation claims, wellness programs, and/or managing employee returns to work
- Additional Certifications
