Summary:
The Occupational Health Nurse plays a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing assessment, intervention, and evaluation for both occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries.
This position involves managing ongoing care for team members, conducting necessary screenings and testing, offering preventative care, and providing resource support for medical-related needs. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and determining eligibility for various types of leaves of absence.

2nd Shift Monday through Thursday 3pm-1am
The ability to work 2nd shift hours. May be occasionally asked to work additional hours or different hours to support business needs.

Responsibilities:
Manage direct care of work related and non-work related injured or illness among team members
Provides case management of Workers' Compensation claims. Provide support for Workers' Compensation hearings as needed
Administers the Family Medical Leave program and all related processes (FMLA)
Act as a resource for Short Term Disability (STD) and assists the third-party vendor with STD related processes
Administer hearing tests and manage follow-up care, vaccination programs
Facilitates physician job site visits and Functional Capacity Examinations
Chart provided care into team members' health records/files in an accurate and timely manor
Provide resource assistance to HR representatives in assessing reasonable accommodations
Conduct job assessments within manufacturing and office environments. Provide risk analysis and offer risk reduction solutions
Responsible for OSHA compliance and recordkeeping within scope of responsibility
Maintain Health and Safety Information systems. Input health information and treatment plans into appropriate HSI Systems in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications:

Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to team members, managers, and public groups.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as medication dosage.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, People Soft, Fusion, and Thrive.
Requirements
Associate degree - RN (Registered Nurse) in Nursing or equivalent from two-year college; or bachelor's degree - BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) from four-year college or university; with a minimum of three years nursing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in State where employed and CAOHC certification (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation).
Maintain nursing certifications and license during term of employment
Physical demands:
The physical demands of the role include talking, hearing, manual dexterity, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
The noise level in the manufacturing environment is usually moderate, loud when in the factory.
