Occupational Health Billing Support Specialist

CRH Healthcare is a consumer and quality-focused urgent care leader in the Southeast. The Billing Specialist manages billing and receivables processes as a member of the finance department, reporting to the Billing Office Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage Workers Compensation and EPS billing processes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage receivables including tracking of aged receivables, timely collections of monies due and collection communications.
- Research and analyze patient accounts to resolve issues. Coordinate and collect necessary information from staff, patients, employers, adjusters and payers for claim adjudication (i. e. previous payments, financial agreement, payment plans). Interact with patients, employers, adjusters, payers and staff with maturity and a sense of urgency. Participate in take-back, overpayment, and refund processes with staff, patients, employers, payers and other third-party agencies to answer questions, take complaints and resolve issues.
- Interact with EMR and other IT systems for claims research, recoups, refunds, reprocessing and collections.
- Assist with training new staff members.
- Maintain open, positive, cordial, responsive and team-oriented lines of communication with Physicians, Practice Administrator and other staff members.
Key Requirements:
- MUST have experience with workers compensation collection.
- High school degree or equivalent coupled with 3+ years Inpatient/Outpatient billing experience
- High degree of accuracy, sense of urgency and ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Knowledge of business office procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including proficiency with Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
