Job Title: Occupational Hand Therapist
Job Type: Part-time (Mon and Wed 8 hours per day; 12-16 hours per week. Flexibility with workdays and schedule; open to further discussing during interview.)
Job Location: 27 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Heights; immediate need at this outpatient clinic, but if willing would use for coverage at other locations.)
ResponsibilitiesOccupational Hand Therapist responsibilities include ...
- Assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses.
- Devising creative treatment plans for individuals suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases.
- Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person.
- Helping patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Encouraging patients along the road to recovery.
- Medical specialties at the clinic include orthopedics, neuro, sports injuries and hand therapy.
- Adolescents and Adults outpatient caseload.
- NYS Occupational Therapist License
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and first aid certification required
- CHT certification a plus
- MUST have level 2 fieldwork experience in hand therapy, some continuing education courses; and at least 1-2 years of experience in outpatient hand therapy as a licensed OT. NO new grads
- Experience treating finger fractures/dislocations, tendon injuries/repairs, wrist and elbow diagnosis.
Salary Description
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
