Job Summary and Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) support patient care in the perioperative setting by assisting surgeons and nursing staff before, during and after surgical procedures. As an integral member of the team, Surgical Techs make meaningful differences in patient’s lives. What you will do in this role: 

• Responsible for assisting the physician with scheduled and emergency cesarean sections. 
• Assists the nurses in Women’s Services with duties designated by charge nurse, including stocking of rooms, setting up delivery tables, and transporting patients. 
• Transcribe physicians’ orders, answer phones and patient call lights and maintain supplies. 
• Performs specific job functions while adhering to established hospital and department guidelines and must have excellent organization and communication skills.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
