Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Nutrition Serivces Aide at Meadowlark Pointe. The schedule is typically 3-12 hour shifts (6am-6pm) with rotating weekends and holidays. Competitive pay and excellent benefits package available.

Summary

The Nutritional Services Aide is responsible for a wide variety of food tasks, including assisting in the preparation of meals, washing dishes, and/or serving meals in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Cozad Community Health System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assists in preparation of meals following approved menus.

· Assembles trays ensuring smooth workflow from food preparation to delivery of trays.

· Serves residents and guests.

· Assists in stocking and maintaining supplies for kitchens and dining rooms.

· Ensures washing and sanitation of all dishes and cooking equipment.

· Cleans tables, work surfaces, equipment, and kitchen floors.

· Ensures program adheres to all federal, state, and local requirements.

· Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures resident safety.

· Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.

· Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prior food service experience preferred. Must have completed safe food handling training or willing to complete it within 3 months of being hired.

Licensure/Certification

Basic Life Support (CPR)

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with residents, visitors, and employees.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the assisted living kitchen, dining room and resident rooms are usually moderate.
