Job Summary
As a Nutrition Lab Operations Supervisor for Morrison Healthcare at Mayo Clinic, you will be responsible for supervising the successful operation of centralized formula and human milk preparation labs in a large acute care hospital. You will oversee the preparation, storage, and delivery of formula and human milk for infant, pediatric, and adult patients. This is an intermediate level opportunity and prior education and/or experience is required.

Pay: starts at $24/hour based on experience, eligible for overtime pay
Work Schedule:
• 40 hours/week
• 8 to 10-hour shifts
• Hours variable from 6:45 am to 7:30 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Paid time off (PTO)
Preferred Education:
• Associate degree or higher OR
• Pursuing an associate's degree with 6 to 12 months of relevant experience OR
• 3+ years relevant experience

Day to Day Job:
• Provide supervision of the Nutrition Lab team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and goals are met
• Assist the team with troubleshooting issues/barrier to successfully providing patients with prescribed orders
• Train, coach, develop, and evaluate new and existing associates
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implementation of new and changing processes
• Collaborate with nurse management, clinical dietitians, and other care team members to coordinate formula and human milk management
• Complete projects, documentation, and reports in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with the successful daily operation of the Nutrition Lab, including the following tasks:
• Prepare human milk and formula accurately using established recipes and sanitation procedures
• Learn how to calculate human milk recipes based on desired volume
• Interpret prescribed diet orders and verify using electronic medical records
• Navigate computer software to print labels and production lists
• Identify and label formula and human milk
• Deliver prepared feedings throughout the hospital
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces
• Check in products and monitor inventory levels and expiration dates
