- GENERAL SUMMARYWorks under the supervision of the Production Manager and in coordination with the Nutrition Aide/Production Team Leaders. The Nutrition Aide/Cashier's primary job function is to perform a variety of tasks including cashiering, cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Basic literacy skills plus the ability to perform basic math calculations to accurately measure and dilute chemicals required

Essential Technical/Motor Skills:
- Required the ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Requires Knowledge of work routines and procedures and materials used in Dietary normally acquired during less than one full month of work experience.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- The physical demand level for this position is light to medium. Occasionally lifts 35 pounds and frequently lifts 20 pounds or less. Walks at a slower speed while carrying 20 pounds or less. Stands and/or walks with normal breaks seven to eight hours per day. Continuously concentrates on detail.
Essential Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to cope with frequent deadlines. Must contend with occasional irregular activity schedules and working without the assistance of other personnel, and will occasionally work under close supervision. Problem solving ability is required in order to follow instruction.

- JOB SPECIFIC DUTIESAND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Operates cash register accurately charging approved prices on all merchandise. Takes and returns all cash to and from all customers to assure accurate cash transactions.
- Closes out and clears cash registers. Checks and balances receipts and cash drawer. Places deposits in Dietary safe and leaves receipt in secretary's mail slot.
- Assigned to work any station in the assembly process.
- Cleans equipment, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, trays and carts. Stores and delivers clean items to appropriate areas.
- Washes pots and pans and other food production/service utensils by hand following approved sanitary techniques.
- Bundles and disposes of trash; sanitizes and relines trash receptacles for reuse.
- Sweeps and mops floor in dish room and other assigned areas.
- Interacts with visitors and coworkers with a cheerful helpful behavior.
- Prepares daily work station according to proper procedure in a timely fashion.
- Answers phone using proper etiquette.
