Description
Job Summary:Responsible for supervising the implementation, delivery, and evaluation of quality patient care and nursing operations within one large unit or multiple smaller units in a 24-hour department. The goal is to ensure services align with nursing standards, service priorities, and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising nursing services to meet cost, quality, and clinical standards.
- Ensuring services meet the needs of members and internal clients in a competitive healthcare market.
- Overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, staffing, budgets, and quality improvement.
- Developing action plans for staff development and patient care enhancements.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Investigating and resolving patient/family concerns.
- Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience, including one year of leadership.
- BSN or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- ACLS certification and Master's degree are preferred.
