As a Nursing Assistant at the Melrose Hospital, you’ll find your purpose by bringing comfort and healing to our patients.

Here are some ways you’ll serve those we care for:
- Interact with them to promote comfort, and express compassion and empathy
- Critical monitoring, like measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration – so we can better assess their health
- Transport them to appointments and meals
- Walking – It’s one of the most important things we can do for them- and you get to help them do it safely
- Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) – these are things we often take for granted that patients may be unable to, or need help doing themselves
- ADLs include bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, feeding, and more
Position Details:
- Full-time working 60-72 hours every two weeks
- 12-hour day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm - 7:30am)
- Every third weekend and rotating holidays
Current Offerings:
- Starting pay $17.06/hour - more with prior experience
- $1,500 sign-on bonus
Qualifications:
- Some healthcare experience is preferred but not required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card required within 30 days of employment
To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous CentraCare employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
