First Pres First Pres is a 3,100 member, 5-generation congregation in the heart of Colorado Springs. We are looking for an individual with high standards of excellence and commitment to hospitality who can create welcoming environments. This person will recruit, train, and deploy Nursery Caregivers and volunteer teams. This person will also assess all environments with first-time visitors in mind and attend to way-finding and next steps. Position Purpose: The purpose of the Nursery Coordinator is to assist the Director of Kids Ministry and First Pres as we support children and families. This position will provide hands-on support to the ministry programs and events developed for infants through preschoolers, including but not limited to Sunday morning nursery, Wednesday Night Growing Together Wednesday (GTW), Thursday Morning Mothers of Pre-schoolers (MOPS), summer programs, special events, and other related activities geared toward young children.

Qualifications

General Responsibilities:

1. Reports directly to the Director of Kids Ministry.

2. Represent Christ and First Presbyterian Church with grace and hospitality.

3. Understand and support the vision, values, mission, and ministry of First Presbyterian Church.

4. Work collaboratively with other staff towards ministry vision and goals.

5. Follow the staff values and norms.

6. Follow the guidelines as stated in the Employee Handbook, and respect confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

Faith: A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Be supportive of the theological tenants of First Presbyterian Church.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current CPR/First Aid certification.

Experience: Childcare experience required.

Desired Traits: Flexibility in the daily activities of this position is essential. Good communication skills, ability to act with composure. Love for children and families.
