Job Description
Greater Portland Health’s Health Care for the Homeless team is seeking a full time (32-40 hour) NP or PA to join our highly collaborative and integrated team. Our program provides medical and behavioral health care on the street, in shelters, at housing first locations, and in a traditional medical clinic. One nuance of our program compared to other Health Care for the Homeless sites is in addition to serving the needs of the traditionally (episodically or chronically) homeless we also provide care to many asylum seekers who may have never received any prior health care. To make sure we meet the changing needs of our patient populations, our team has needed to be flexible in how and where we provide care. Our philosophy is grounded in trauma informed care, harm reduction, and love and we expect applicants to subscribe to these principles as well. Experience working with marginalized populations is preferred, but we are equipped to train those with passion and no experience.
We are a mission-driven team focused on taking care of each other and our community. And we're growing!!
