Pain Management Physician Or Nurse Practitioner

Maine Comprehensive Pain Management, PC (MCPM) is expanding and seeking a Pain Management Physician Or Nurse Practitioner to become the newest member of our team!  We are a non-narcotic Pain Management practice. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic pain issues
• Prescribe all necessary medications (excluding chronic narcotics or sedatives) and treatments
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients including histories,  physical examinations and treatment plans
• Perform appropriate procedures when necessary to skill level (EMG/NCS ability is a plus)
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities when appropriate
• Communicate with collaborating Physician or specialist regarding patient care
• Appropriate record keeping and coding of visits is essential

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Physician or Nurse Practitioner treating patient with pain issues
• Ability to build rapport with patients and staff 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as a team member
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
