Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat patients with psychiatric disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health
- Experience working in behavioral health or psychiatric settings
- Knowledge of memory care principles and practices
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong triage skills to assess patient needs and prioritize care
- Ability to ventilate patients in emergency situations if necessary
- Familiarity with family planning services and contraceptive methods
- Proficiency in medical coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Skill in performing venipuncture for lab tests
