EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Under general supervision and within the scope of practice, provides independent direct clinical services for patients in the public health setting involving the application of skills acquired in specialized training to provide primary health care to adults, children or the elderly; provides care for a selected caseload of patients in a family-centered out-patient facility; performs physical examinations following standardized medical procedures; conducts tests and administers immunizations; provides clinical management of illnesses within the scope of practice defined by medical and nursing protocols; coordinates care with internal and external agencies; counsels patients regarding care, nutrition and medication; may supervise and train staff; and performs other related duties as required.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
EXAMINATION WEIGHTS:

Screening of applicants will be conducted on the basis of application and required supplemental application submitted. This selection procedure will be conducted using a continuous non-competitive process, which means applications are evaluated solely on training, experience, education, or certification. All applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be placed on an eligible list. Applicants receiving Veteran's Credit will be placed on the eligible list first and then in the order in which applications were filed.
This is a continuous eligible list, which means eligible lists may be established periodically and may expire six months from their effective date. Applicants may apply only once during a four-month period. Applications received by March 1, 2024, from candidates meeting the qualifications will be placed on Test #01 established eligible list. This examination will be conducted using the continuous, non-competitive procedure. All applicants meeting the minimum requirements to file will be placed on the eligible list, with those receiving Veteran's Credit first and then in the order in which applications were filed. Eligible lists may be established periodically.
