Job Description
We have a part time weekend NP position in a skilled Nursing Facility located in Kankakee. The position requires 4-5 weekend days a month, either 1 day a week (Sat or Sunday) or 2 full weekends. A minimum of a 1 year commitment, but strongly desire a long term commitment with loyal and dedicated employees who can partner with us. The NP must be wiling to do some weekday orientation initially. One year experience as an NP is required, LTC or skilled experience is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Examines, diagnoses and treats newly admitted patients and existing patients
- Collaborates and communicates with Primary Physician and facility nursing staff
- Performs physical examinations
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Prescribes medications or non-pharmacological treatments
- Collaborates and communicates with healthcare professionals, patient and family of patient
- Records physical findings in EMR/Patient Records within specific time frame
- Submits and reports all scheduling, payroll and billing in a timely manner
- Effectively communicates with colleagues and facility staff for all facility problems
Qualifications:
- Required education:Master’s Degree
- Required license or certification:Nurse Practitioner national certification, IL APN and CS license; DEA license
- Required:1+ years of experience
