Job Location: Covington, TN.
Job Schedule: Monday- Friday, Day Shift.
Job Type: Full Time, Contract to Hire, Starting with 6 month contract with high likelihood to extend as permanent.
Pay Rate/ Range: $110,000-$120,000/year.

Full Job Description:

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a committed and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistantwith occupational health experience to support the onsite workplace occupational health for a private business in Covington, TN. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-placement physicals and annual physical evaluations.
• Provide first aid onsite, assess and treat work-related injuries / illnesses/ non-work related urgent care. Make referral as needed.
• Conduct return to work exams.
• Case management.
• Documentation in EMR system.
• Administer various examinations/tests including EKG's, spirometry, vision testing, audiograms, respiratory fit testing, phlebotomy and vital signs.
• Support DOT physical exam.
• Deliver CPR/BBP training.
• Site walk abouts and make ergonomic assessment and improvements.
• Provide psychosocial support.

Requirements:

• Active NP/PA license in TN. Training in Occupational Health is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in occupational health in manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with OSHA standards.
• Must be DOT/FMCSA Certified.
• Experience with spirometry, vision testing, audiograms, respiratory fit testing, drug test, Breath Alcohol test preferred.
• Experience with workers comp would be a plus.
• Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
• CPR/BLS Certification. CPR/BBP instructor strongly preferred.
  
• Customer service-oriented, able to work independently, have great 'bedside' manner.
  
• Proficient with computers and documenting in EMR systems. Experience with Cority preferred.
• Must be up to date with Covid-19 vaccines including booster vaccine.
