Nurse Practitioner

Family Health Clinic is currently seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented Nurse Practitioner to provide quality patient care in a high-volume practice. FHC brings many years of experience with a diverse background of providers. We are committed to treating the patient, not just the problem. ICU and/or ER experience preferred. Our practice has an office in McDonough and Zebulon. This position requires travel between each office.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.
• Conducting follow-up patient care.
• Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.
• Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
• Answering emergency telephone calls after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.
• Administer and order medications for patients.
• Complete all notes/tasks in patient’s EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
• Providing health education to patients and families.
• Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
• Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.
