Maintenance Planner- Day shift

We are expanding our operation and we are looking for a Maintenance Planner for our 24/7 operation here in Brattleboro.

· Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning

· Conducts plant walks to identify and document job requirements

· Estimates required hours on work orders, total duration, and skills required to perform task

· Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled workforce

· Procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work

· Gathers necessary engineering / technical documents, specifications, and drawings

· Writes clear and concise work procedures

· Determines and arranges for parts required to perform the work

· Plans parts for all projects to increase “wrench time” and maximize efficiency

· Compiles information into a job package and clearly communicates steps in the process

· Prints and delivers work orders in conjunction with the weekly work schedule

·Communicates regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient

· Skills in the proper use of test equipment, hand, and power tools, diagnosing and trouble-shooting equipment malfunctions and systems failures is preferred.

· Leadership skills, ability to motivate others to effective action, and administrative ability are preferred. Computer literacy is required.

· Experience with a CMMS system, including data entry and scheduling, is preferred.

· A HS diploma or equivalent, with applicable previous experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of inventory management systems, parts procurement, and purchase orders

· At least two years of progressively responsible experience in a previous similar role.

Experience in a food manufacturing facility (preferably dairy) is required.

Experience in mechanical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems is preferred but not required.
