Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Nurse Practitioner in Department of Medicine shall provide direct patient care under the supervision of attending hospitalists in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau. He/she assists in promoting the Hospitalist Services to the medical staff and the community while also participating in departmental staff meetings and educational activities.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Experience and/or skill in in area of practice.
- Great oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency.
License/Certifications
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
- Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses (ANCC) certificate.
- BLC/ and ACLS certification.
- Current DEA registration.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Frequent prolonged standing/walking.
- Continued, daily computer/electronic record documentation, screening viewing.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Lifts, positions and/ or transfers patients/equipment.
