Compensation:
Salary: $133,000.00 to $166,000.00/ year
Nurse Practitioner:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Graduate of a Family or Womens Health Nurse Practitioner program. (New graduates may be considered with prior experience in pediatrics and/or NICU)
Desired:
Bilingual in Spanish
Clinic or ambulatory experience
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing (within 3 months of hire)
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (within 3 months of hire)
Meets Centers for Medical & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition
Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance Office
Desired:
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a Family Practice or Womens Health specialty
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve. Behavior should be reflective of Medical Center core values.
