Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Nurse Manager to fill an opening with a surgery center located in Greenvale, New York
- Must be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN
- Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience
- Must have 3-5 years of Surgical Services experience preferred at outpatient surgery center.
- Must have a current NYS RN license
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve lifting up to 50 or more pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The salary for this position is $115,000 - $118,000 / yr
- Benefits are competitive and negotiable
- Sign-on bonus of $3,500
- This is a Full-time position
- Facility Days: Monday-Friday, day shift, occasionally one Saturday per month, no major holidays.
- The role of the Nurse Manager in an operating room provides leadership, guidance, supervision, and support to the Surgical Services team; as well as direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles as needed. In addition to general nursing care, the responsibilities of OR nurses and Nurse Managers include (but are not limited to)
- Displays commitment to the mission of the Surgery Center and its values
- Accomplish nurse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, educating, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members, communicating job expectations, and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Fosters an environment that promotes a spirit of inquiry and continuous quality improvement. Assists in the design and implementation of programs with evaluating the efficacy of treatment.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
- Promote, monitor, and implement the concepts of quality management and evidence-based practice. Monitor service areas, recommend approaches for improvement activities, design new processes, collect and measure data, review, and report performance over time, improve and redesign processes based on the evaluation, and continuously reassess.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental retention strategies, recruitment, selection, and discipline of department personnel. Participate in the development, coaching, motivation, and evaluation of department personnel.
