*Typically 1-2 days per week to Huber Heights and Maineville offices.
As a Contract RN, you will conduct the Home Health Aid (HHA) Competency Assessment for new home care aides to meet the requirements of the Medicare Condition of Participations (COPs). You will also evaluate the competency of individuals who will provide Home Health Aide services to our clients. Additionally, you will conduct the following skills checks:
- Physicians’ orders-HHA Plan of Care
- Documentation/Advance Directives/DNR
- Reporting change in patient condition or skin condition/breakdown
- Reporting change in body function/Pain Mgt.
- Communication skills/ability to read, write, and report clinical info to clients, family and other caregivers
- Vital signs – temp, pulse and respirations
- Infection control/Hazardous Waste
- Recognizing emergencies/Emergency Preparedness
- Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Basic elements of body functioning and reportable changes
- Grooming (hair, nail, and skin care)
- Bathing
- Bed/sponge
- Tub/Shower
- Shampoo/Hair washing in tub, bed,sink, shower
- Oral Hygiene
- Toileting and elimination
- Safe transfer techniques and ambulation
- Range of motion
- Positioning/Re-positioning
- Recording nutrition and fluid intake
- Hoyer lift
- Physical, emotional, and developmental needs of client
- Need for respect of client, respect for client privacy and their property
- Catheter Care
