Scheduled Hours: 40
Work Shift: Day (United States of America)
Coordinates the total nursing care plans for patients in outpatient/ambulatory Medical Specialties. Works with the Program Director to provide supervision and training of other nurses and staff within the department.

Essential Role Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Works under the direction of the Program Director and Medical Director to oversee, manage, and train nurses and other staff within the department.
  • Ensures that staff adhere to the departmental Standards of Care as well as Northeast Hospitals’ Policies and Procedures.
  • Serves as clinical resource in delivery of patient care
  • Promotes collaboration among staff, medical and administrative colleagues
  • Promotes learning and team building environment
  • Educates patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Communicates with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding care
  • Conducts departmental in-services for continuing education.
  • Assesses the patient’s condition; sets goals; prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
  • Coordinates and/or performs physician ordered patient care following established guidelines and algorhythms.
  • Directs and evaluates nursing care provided by others to patients in the Center.
  • Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients.
  • Attends departmental meetings and participates in hospital committees as requested.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Education/Experience:

  • BSN required.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience

Certification/License:

  • Current R.N. license; BSN required
  • Current B.L.S.
