YOUR DAY AS A NURSE AIDE FOR HOME CARE
As a Nurse Aide for Palolo Chinese Home's Home Care division, your role will involve providing clients with the basic standards of healthy living. This includes ensuring their safety, maintaining personal contact, promoting proper nutrition, encouraging physical activity, engaging in mental stimulation, promoting relaxation, and even sharing a bit of humor. Depending on the client's specific needs and the agreement with the company, you may also be required to provide personal care, such as assistance with bathing, grooming, and medication management.
In addition, your responsibilities may extend to assisting with housekeeping and pet care, helping clients with obtaining meals, and providing transportation for appointments or errands. WOULD YOU BE A GREAT NURSE AIDE FOR HOME CARE?
To be successful as a Nurse Aide for Palolo Chinese Home's Home Care division, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications. These include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a Nurse Aide certification from an accredited Nurse Aide Training Program. Additionally, you must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications. Having at least six months of experience in healthcare, particularly in a Home Care setting, is preferred. A valid Hawaii driver's license is required, and it is ideal if you have reliable means of transportation, including ownership of a car.
