Home Health Aides perform household chores for their clients depending on their needs, including doing the dishes, washing laundry, making up beds, vacuuming and even light gardening or groundskeeping. They learn about the client’s dietary needs and shop for healthy ingredients. Home Health Aides make sure clients take the right medications on schedule and monitor them for any concerning symptoms.

Responsibilities

- Provide nursing and personal care services in a home setting

- Assist elderly clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and toileting

- Administer medications following prescribed schedules

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions

- Perform catheter care and tube feeding as needed

- Monitor and report changes in client's health status

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client

Requirements:

- HHA certification or Board CNA

- Proficiency in English REQUIRED

- Reliable transportation to each home is required

- You are required to have a reliable phone and working phone number

- Proven experience as a caregiver in a nursing home or home care setting

- Knowledge of caregiving systems and practices

- Ability to provide catheter care and tube feeding

- Experience in medication administration

- Understanding of senior care principles and patient care techniques

- Ability to cook and prepare meals based on dietary needs

- Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
