TITLE: Nuclear Med Tech
LOCATION: Stockton, CA (Onsite)
SCHEDULE: Day Shift, 7:00am-3:00pm.
PAY: $70.00 - $76.00 Hour DOE
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Overtime paid at 1.5X regular rate of pay)
SUMMARY: Nuclear Medicine Technologists inject small amounts of radioactive material into patients and then take images of their patients' bodies to diagnose or determine the progression of certain diseases or illnesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
- Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.
- Monitor and watch for any unusual reactions patients may have to drugs.
- Operate imaging equipment.
- Maintain detailed procedure records.
- Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- AART or NMTCB - Amergican Registry of Radiologic (AART) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- BLS Certification
