Job Description
Vector Resources is seeking an NQA-1 Specialist to provide oversight support to NNSA for capital construction projects at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
Typical Duties:
· Utilize expert-level construction quality knowledge of and experience using national consensus standards of Quality Assurance (QA) such as 10CFR830, ASME, ISO, and ANSI/ASME NQA-1 2008/2009a, Department of Energy (DOE) Quality Order 414.1, including the implementation of these codes/standards.
· Apply advanced technical knowledge in engineering, procurement, construction, and turnover, integrating and applying QA requirements for these disciplines, including Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD), supplier qualifications and QA program development.
· Participate in and support construction quality assessments, (audits, surveillances, QA observations and/or cause analysis). Interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schematics.
· Develop, review, and implement QA program policy documents and procedures.
· Facilitate communications and collaboration with all levels of personnel across multiple organizations to solve complex performance challenges and providing tactical, forward-looking support leading to project success.
· Plan, prioritize, and schedule work to ensure completion in accordance with requirements, deadlines, and budget.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience / Educational:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience managing or leading QA programs on DOE/NNSA construction projects. (required)
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, architecture, or related field from an accredited institution, or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. (preferred)
· Experience with DOE Order 413.3B (required).
· Demonstrated experience in effective written and oral communications. (required)
· Demonstrated experience with CGD requirements and implementation. (required)
· Ability to obtain, maintain, and possess a DOE/NNSA "Q" Clearance (required); an active Q Clearance is preferred.
· Demonstrated expertise in NQA-1 and DOE Quality Order 414.1. (required)
