NP/PA - Oncology

Medical Associates Clinic is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Oncology team located in our Dubuque, Iowa location. This position will be working primarily in Radiation Oncology and may cross train/support hematology oncology.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Provide Oncology medical care under the direction of supervising physician; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, and initiating/implementing treatment plan.  Provide patient education on treatment and diagnosis
• Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: emergency preparedness for patient reactions, Code 4/Emergency team training, weekend/holiday coverage and/or provide on call coverage.
• Complete all other assigned projects and duties.

Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Experience preferred, but not required.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP or PA.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
