Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced School Occupational Therapists for full-time positions within school districts located in the Albany, CA area. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements for this role. Please see below for detailed qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and parents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to implement strategies to support students' academic success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other team meetings as needed.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in occupational therapy and special education.
