What Will We Call This Position? Finance Data Impact Clerk or Compliance Data Impact Clerk

Position Overview:

We are seeking 2 detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry clerk to join our team. The Data Entry role will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter financial transactions into accounting software with accuracy and efficiency
  • Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with data cleanup and organization of financial records
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Adhere to established accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in Data Entry or financial administration preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Ex. QuickBooks, Bill.com, Ramp)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in Data Entry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to work regular business hours; periodic evenings, nights and weekends
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience with accrual accounting and GAAP
  • Working knowledge of all phases of the accounting cycle
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Knowledge of GAAP and automated financial reporting systems
  • Knowledge and experience with grant billing and budgeting
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting
  • Familiar with QuickBooks Online

Work environment: This job is performed in a normal office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and at times loud. Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. Position requires regular work hours that mirror regular business hours with periodic nights and weekends.
