Key Responsibilities:
- Secondary phone queue coverage for Public and Private Sector partner and member password resets
- Secondary phone queue coverage for FastPay technical support and problem resolution
- Secondary payroll provider partner file error resolution via phone and email. Researches and resolves errors.
- Primary coverage for complex Public and Private technical support via phone and email.
- Works to research and resolves issues for partners and members
- Modifies PL/SQL & TOAD queries and scripts for research, problem solving and reporting.
- Primary contact for resolving member payroll file layout issues
- Handles advanced and complex member and partner relationships pertaining to technical support.
- Researches and resolves Debit ACH issues pertaining to websites, Fin Ops, CAPS and Financial Gateway.
- Advanced technical problem resolution for websites and file transfers.
- Assists in training of customers on business, technological, societal, and environmental trends to support strategies for improving business performance with particular emphasis on emerging business practices, technologies, and methodologies that are applicable to the insurance and financial services industry. Provides demos and walk-through.
- Assigned to all new large case implementation projects to consult and setup all payroll submission needs and builds.
- Build and maintain all large case custom file layouts for Public Sector plans. Work with the large case customer technical staff on the training and onboarding of payroll submission.
- Technical relationship contact for all Payroll Provider partners. Owns the relationship and project process of setting up all brand-new Payroll Provider connections with , including training and onboarding.
- Is the point of contact for overall Payroll Provider partner relationship technical questions and issue resolution
- Creates all new secure file transfer connections by owning the project and implementation process. Work to train the customers on how to use the new secure file transfer connections.
- Maintains key and sensitive large customer technical relationships as needed.
- Responsible for identifying and developing workarounds and short-term solutions to daily system issues and outages
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Undergraduate studies in business, insurance, mathematics, computer science or related field is preferred.
- Prefer degree or professional insurance coursework.
- Participation in technical coursework such as LOMA, CLU, ChFC desirable. NASD series 6 and/or 26 preferred, and may be required based on assigned product/line-of-business or distribution system.
- One year of experience in a business operational position involving business process analysis and design, performance improvement, problem solving, planning, coordinating, and organizing and/or business experience.
- Knowledge of standards, best practices, methodologies, and frameworks associated with the insurance/financial services industry, business process management, and the IT discipline.
- Retirement Plans Operations knowledge desired.
- Ability to prioritize own work within standards.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management.
- Decision making skills necessary for customer contacts. Ability to identify and evaluate problems and analyze customer inquiries and determine the appropriate action.
- Decision making skills necessary for problem identification and correction. Ability to coordinate and conduct, direct or lead a project or the training of team members.
- Proven ability to operate a CRT and PC.
- General knowledge of a wide variety of tools, concepts, and techniques of business process modeling, analysis, and design.
- General knowledge of emerging industry, competitor, customer demography, regulatory, and market trends as they relate to insurance, reinsurance, and related financial services industries.
- Basic understanding of new technologies and developments in the technology industry and their application to the Nationwide environment.
- Understanding of the systems development life cycle.
- Basic knowledge of facilitation, performance management, organizational design, and organization change management. Notepad++, PL SQL, TOAD, Tableau, Knowledge of browser capabilities for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome, Adobe Pro, PuTTY, Advanced Excel Functionality, Secure File Transfer.
