General Summary of Position:
Granite is a leading provider of a wide array of managed security and networking platforms. The Networking practice with the Network Operations Center is a dynamic, fast paced environment dealing with a comprehensive array of products and services, including Fortinet SD-WAN, Juniper MIST, and Cisco's Meraki suite.
The position includes customer solution development and deployment support, new product research, design, and implementation, tier 3 technical escalation and management support, as well as facilitating automation and integration initiatives to streamline deployments at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain network solutions utilizing Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, and Velocloud technology.
- Assist with the implementation and onboarding of innovative security and networking products, including in-house designed hardware solutions based on industry best practices.
- Proactively review nation-wide network deployments for optimization at scale.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for Fortinet solutions, identifying and resolving complex network issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and Granite-deployed product updates to provide innovative solutions and recommendations to clients.
- Manage a personal ticket queue to ensure timely resolution of ongoing tasks.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific network requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure their satisfaction with Granite-managed solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to work independently without micromanagement
- Hands-on experience with network and security appliance configuration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SD-WAN
- Knowledge of network and security design concepts and best practices
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment in a hybrid WFH model
- Knowledge of API and application interoperability concepts
- Experience with coding and automation concepts
- Experience in customer facing technical support roles
- JNCIS certification or equivalent experience with Juniper solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNP certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Design, Network Security or related field
- 5 years' experience with network design and deployment concepts
- 5 years' experience with customer technical support
- Experience with coding and automation platforms such as Python, JavaScript or similar
- Prior public trust P2 security clearance
